Out of the Blue

Listening to Side A's "Only You", I can't help but wander back to a place where dreams were free and the spirit of youth still roams freely within me - my teenage years of course.

Funny how time flies so fast, and with the way we live our lives today, it's almost next to impossible to take even just a few minutes off of our busy schedules to take time to reminisce or look back to our forever lost childhoods.  That's why for me, it's always a breather to go someplace where beautiful memories took place, paired of course with the music of the time, and with the friends you've shared those beautiful memories with, memories that will forever be etched in your mind.

It may be of the teenage love you thought you'd be with for the rest of your life and the memories of her and all the things you did - the talks from night 'till dawn, the sunsets you've watched together, the gifts, the petty quarrels, the way you miss her, the love letters.  Or maybe of the weekly and nightly gimmicks with friends, the tricks you played on other people, the outings.  I'd love to experience these things again...if only.

I guess that's life as most people put it, a straight line without curves or turns that will lead you back to where you once were.  The mere reason why every moment should be cherished, every memory kept intact, and every decision thought over for as many times possible.  Otherwise, you'll have nothing but regrets when the time comes.

Memories of our childhood and teenage years, sometimes we lose track of them that we forget who and how we once were, and we grow up to become adults - dull, bored, materialistic, and without contentment.  Why grow up?
